They are knowledgeable in the various aspects of the training you will receive at this dojo. Attending weekly classes, as well as specialized seminars each year, the black belts keep their skills current and continue to grow as martial artists and instructors. Karate & Ju-jutsu Classes

Our teen and adult programs are designed to give students a complete education in Karate and Ju-Jitsu in a traditional, yet energized setting. Classes are separated into two training agendas: curriculum/requirements training and skills development through application, for example, sparring, and grappling.

Our main focus in these programs is to help students reach their full potential as martial artists through classical and modern training methods. Members of these classes will start at the introductory level learning basic blocks, strikes, kicks, self defenses, falls and throws. After having acquired rudimentary skills in these areas, students will be exposed to various self defense scenarios, sparring and grappling practice.

All classes are instructed by Sensei Mark Baker, a sixth degree black belt with over 27 years experience in the martial arts, as well as the other black belts and senior level students. There is a major emphasis on propriety and character development, as these virtues promote safe training.

Marital Arts Fitness Classes

Combining Martial Arts and effective fitness training all-in-one! This class offers the best of both worlds.
Basic Martial Arts strikes, kicks and punches along with cardio-strength training. Experience all the rapid, energetic, muscle building fun this class has to offer.
Some of the benefits you will enjoy are, weight loss, higher flexibility and overall body strength while attending Shuhari Martial Arts Fitness Class.
